Here are some of the happenings in tax news from the Iowa legislature, from my friends at Radio Iowa.

House Republicans are proposing a bill that would cut individual income taxes by 20%.  Republicans say this would save Iowans more than $200 million in taxes.  Read more here.

Governor Branstad is calling for an increase in the casino tax but he’s getting pushback on this issue.

And Senate Democrats are pushing a bill that would provide tax credits for small businesses that provide health insurance to employees.
