Iowa Not-for-Profits and Iowa Unemployment Tax

Not-for-profits don’t have to pay income taxes (as long as they filed for tax-exempt status). But that doesn’t mean they’re exempt from all taxes, especially at the state level.

The Iowa unemployment tax paid by employers will be decreasing.  The average rate paid by employers in the state will drop from 2.8% to 2.4%.  My friends at Radio Iowa have more.

0.2% Federal Unemployment Surtax Has Expired
