Iowa May Increase Gas Tax

A special commission appointed by Governor Branstad is recommending a 10-cent/gallon increase in the Iowa's gasoline tax.  The gas tax has been at 22-cents/gallon since 1989.  The commission says a 10-cent increase would raise about $230 million in additional revenue that would be used for road projects. Iowa Changes Policy on Meal Reimbursement

Iowa Exploring Increase to Vehicle Purchase Fee

Iowa Unemployment Tax to Decrease

The Iowa unemployment tax paid by employers will be decreasing.  The average rate paid by employers in the state will drop from 2.8% to 2.4%.  My friends at Radio Iowa have more.
