A bill that authorizes the Nebraska Department of Revenue to go after non-filers and people who under-report income has referred to the Nebraska Legislature’s Revenue Committee.  From the National Association of Enrolled Agents:

The bill provides that the Department of Revenue may contract to procure products and services to develop, deploy or administer systems or programs that identify nonfilers of returns and underreporters or nonpayers of taxes administered by the department.
